Honey Farm Movie Night……
The Honey Farm Community is filled with awesome neighbors that plan a lot of fun events. The newest thing at the Honey Farm is “Movie Night” . One of the homeowners set up a projection screen outside and show movies on Saturday night for everyone in the community. All of the homeowners love it!
Alright folks, we are gearing up for what could be the final movie night of the year. Since it’s getting close to Halloween, a good scary movie seems appropriate. So…we will be showing the 1996 thriller SCREAM Saturday October 9th. Showtime around 7pm. Be there if you dare! Moo ha ha ha

HOW MUCH ARE THE PROPERTY TAXES?

How much are the property taxes at the Honey Farm Community? The community is located in the city of Columbia and Maury County so you will pay city and county taxes. The Columbia, Tennessee tax rate is 1.38 and the Maury County tax rate is 2.65.
For example, if you buy a brand new home from Charles Raines Construction, LLC in the Honey Farm Community for $140,000 your estimated property taxes will be $1400/year.
An interesting tidbit about the location of the Honey Farm community is the fact that it is located inside Columbia, TN city limits, but the homes are zoned for Spring Hill, Tennessee schools. I love the fact that the neighborhood is zoned for Spring Hill schools. The new Spring Hill Middle School is located just minutes from the Honey Farm Community and the Spring Hill High School is just a couple miles down the road.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there. I must say I feel very blessed to have such a great dad and feel honored to sell his homes. On a daily basis I realize how lucky I am to have great parents that I am proud to call mom and dad. When people learn that my dad, Charles Raines, has 4 girls they just say, “oh my, your poor dad…..all those girls and no boys”. Yep what a job it must have been to raise four girls and now to think three of us work in the construction & real estate business with him on a daily business. I think I now know why he likes to be on the tractor, bulldozer and backhoe…..he can’t hear all of us girls talking!!
Thank you dad for being such a great father to us four girls and an awesome grandfather to the coolest grandchildren…..don’t you love having those two boys around!!!
Thank you for providing wonderful new homes for me to sell to clients at affordable prices. Thank you for being a man of your word and for showing me and teaching me about hard work and dedication. You have given me many opportunities in life and I am so blessed that I have the opportunity to sell your new homes and that I am proud of a Charles Raines Construction home.

Wow, as I have gotten older I realize how important that saying is….thank you! Another favorite…..”Sweep off your own front porch before sweeping off others”…..so true. I appreciate how my dad does not dwell on the negative things in life but rather moves on to something positive and does not dwell on your mistakes, but rather says,….”it was a mistake but as long as you learn from it, then it was ok….time to move on! I could share many more memories and thoughts, but I will not bore you with those. Now it is time for you all reading this to go say “Thank you” to your dad! Remember what a tough job it must have been to raise you!!
